Inspect filters for dirt and debris

Are the filters reusable foam filters?

Wash filters with water and mild detergent

Dry the filters completely before proceeding

Spray filters with filter handicoater

Is filter replacement necessary?

Inspection of Insulation Condition

Check for signs of deterioration in insulation

Is the insulation in good condition?

Is replacement of insulation necessary?

Replace insulation with same materials if necessary

Describe any issues found during inspection

Check all connections for tightness

Ensure there is no blockage in the intake and exhaust lines

Check if the condensate line has free flow during operation

Turn off electrical and gas power supplies to furnace.

Remove upper and lower furnace access panels.

Remove 3/8” rubber cap from condensate drain plug and drain. Replace cap after draining.

Disconnect and remove intake pipe from air intake fitting.

Mark all gas valve wires and disconnect them from valve.

Remove gas supply line connected to gas valve.

Disconnect gas valve sensing hose from side of burner box.

Shut down the unit for an extended period

Will the unit be exposed to sub-freezing temperatures?

Drain water from the condensate trap

Locate the 3/8” cap on the bottom corner of the condensate trap

Remove the 3/8” cap to drain the condensate trap

Periodically drain the condensate trap
