Check all wiring for loose connections

Check circuit breaker located in unit control box

Check for correct voltage at unit (unit operating)

Check to see that heat (if applicable) is operating

Turn off electrical and gas power supplies to furnace.

Remove upper and lower furnace access panels.

Disconnect and remove intake pipe from air intake fitting.

Mark all gas valve wires and disconnect them from valve.

Remove gas supply line connected to gas valve.

Disconnect gas valve sensing hose from valve.

Remove burner box cover (4 to 6 screws).

Inspect filters for dirt and debris

Are the filters reusable foam filters?

Wash reusable foam filters with water and mild detergent

Dry the filters completely before reinstallation

Spray filters with filter handicoater

Is filter replacement necessary?

Order the correct replacement filter

Supply Air Blower Inspection and Cleaning

Verify motors are prelubricated for extended life

Shut down the unit for an extended period

Ensure the unit is exposed to sub-freezing temperatures

Drain water from the condensate trap

Locate the 3/8” cap on the bottom corner of the condensate trap

Remove the 3/8” cap to drain the condensate trap

Periodically drain the condensate trap to ensure proper drainage
