Inspect filters for dirt and debris

Clean reusable foam filters with water and mild detergent

Spray filters with filter handicoater before reinstallation

Is filter replacement necessary?

Order replacement filters if necessary

Turn off electrical and gas power supplies to furnace.

Remove upper and lower furnace access panels.

Remove 3/8” rubber cap from condensate drain plug and drain. Replace cap after draining.

Disconnect and remove intake pipe from air intake fitting.

Remove gas supply line connected to gas valve.

Disconnect gas valve sensing hose from side of burner box.

Check all wiring for loose connections

Check circuit breaker located in unit control box

Enter the voltage at unit (unit operating)

Is the heat operating (if applicable)?

Turn off electrical and gas power supplies to furnace.

Remove upper and lower furnace access panels.

Disconnect and remove intake pipe from air intake fitting.

Mark all gas valve wires and disconnect them from valve.

Remove gas supply line connected to gas valve.

Disconnect gas valve sensing hose from valve.

Remove burner box cover (4 to 6 screws).

Verify all connections for tightness

Ensure there is no blockage in the intake and exhaust lines

Check for free flow in the condensate line during operation

Describe any issues found during inspection
