Has the pumping capacity decreased or a leak occurred?

Has there been a repeated head installation?

Replace pump diaphragm if any of the above conditions are met.

Operate the pump in a collecting pan to prevent undetected diaphragm rupture.

Flush pump thoroughly after use or if it is not to be used for an extended period.

Check the discharge outlet regularly for leaks.

Observe the service life of the diaphragm and other elastomer parts.

9.4 Cleaning / Replacing Valve Plates and Pump Diaphragm

Follow the maintenance instructions

Ensure cleanliness during maintenance

Check that pump and system are leak-tight after maintenance

9.5 Checking that pump is leak-tight

Ensure parts in contact with fluid are designed for operating pressure

Set up the system as shown in Fig. 27

Use distilled water as a test medium

Set pressure control valve to working pressure

Ensure fitting is leak-tight (see Section 6.2.2)

Operate pump carefully for 5 minutes

Are there any traces of medium visible on the head?

Check tightening torque of head screws regularly

Check that pump and system are leak-tight

Cleaning / replacing valve plates and pump diaphragm

Ensure all required tools are available

Set the torque screwdriver to the maximum tightening torque

Inspect pump for external damage

Check tightening torque of head screws

Confirm pump is in perfect working order before use

Verify operation of pump in accordance with technical data

Check the discharge outlet for leaks
