Move the I/O (on/off) Switch to the I (on) position. Did the lamp illuminate?

Move the I/O (on/off) Switch to the O (off) position. Did the lamp shut off?

Operating Retractable ‘R’ and ‘RT’ Units

Extend the retractable cord to the desired height (up to 40 inches).

Gently release the lamp to engage the locking mechanism.

Is the power turned off at the fused disconnect switch/circuit breaker?

Has the unit cooled down completely?

Move the I/O (on/off) Switch to the O (off) position.

Wipe down the lamp shade with a clean, soft, water-dampened cloth.

Describe any stubborn stains and the cleaning method used.

Was a non-abrasive cleaner used?

Ensure lamp is at proper height before tightening set screws.

Slide the stem up or down to the desired length.

Tighten set screws securely (at least 12 ft-lbs.).

Ensure screws penetrate paint and contact bare metal for grounding.

Use the included threadlocker and set screws to secure the stem length.

Tighten set screws securely (at least 12 ft-lbs.).

Move the I/O (on/off) Switch to the O (off) position.

Has the bulb cooled completely?

Identify the type of Decorative Lamp

Is the replacement bulb wattage appropriate for the lamp type?

Unscrew the old bulb from the unit.
