Ensure all necessary parts are on hand
Verify availability of Displacement Pump Repair Kit 241623
Flush the pump
Relieve the pressure before proceeding
Disconnect the hoses and remove the pump from its mounting
Clamp the air motor base (5) in a vise
Disassemble the pump components
Use strap wrench to screw shovel tube (67) off of pump cylinder (59)
Air Motor and Throat Maintenance
Preparation
Ensure all necessary parts and tools are available
Initial Steps
Flush the pump
Relieve the pressure
Disconnect the hoses and remove the pump from its mounting
Clamp the air motor base (5) in a vise
Disassembly
Use a strap wrench or pipe wrench to unscrew the extension tube (64) from the base (5)
