Air Filters & Filters Silencers Maintenance

WARNING! Servicing the air filters is one of the most important maintenance operations to be performed to insure long blower life.

NOTICE! No matter what type of filter is used, always make sure all seats, gaskets, clamps and hose connections on the filter and inlet line are absolutely air tight.

Is the differential pressure indicator installed across the inlet filter?

Enter the reading from the differential pressure indicator

Is the filter pressure drop used to establish maintenance points?

Are all seats, gaskets, clamps and hose connections on the filter and inlet line air tight?

Is the interior of the blower clean?

Sign off on the air filters and filters silencers maintenance

Run this procedure

1 Daily Blower Check

Warning: Do not operate the blower if the oil level is not in the middle of the sight gauge for each sump when the blower is not running.

Check the oil level in both sumps daily

An overfill or excess of oil can cause oil leaks.

DO NOT OVERFILL OIL.

Sign off on the daily blower check

Run this procedure

Blower Inspection

Observe the blower for vibration, heating, noise, oil leaks and excessive air leaks.

Check for proper operation of the filters, silencers, couplings, drive belts, motor (or power unit), relief valve, check valve, gauges and other controls.

Disconnect the drive and turn the blower by hand to check for drag, tight spots, bearing wear and gear backlash. Rotation should be free with no indication of drag or metallic interference.

Inspect the interior of the blower through the inlet or discharge port for cleanliness, corrosion and contact of internal parts.

Check the tightness of all screws, bolts and nuts.

Sign off on the blower inspection

4500 Hourly Lubricant Replacement

WARNING! Do not overfill oil as this will tend to cause excessive heating of the gears and may damage the unit. An overfill of oil can cause oil leaks.

Is the blower not running?

Did you remove the plug from each sump?

Enter the oil level in each sump

Did you wait for oil level to stabilize?

Did you add or remove oil to maintain oil level at middle of oil level sight gauge?

Did you secure the plug in each end?

Did you add fresh oil as required to maintain proper level?

Sign off on the lubricant replacement
