Pump Assembly
Insert the shaft assembly through the tube
Warm up the seal assembly
Check for metal burrs on the pump shaft
Lubricate the end of the shaft with Vaseline
Install the seal over the shaft
Install the bearing assembly onto the shaft
Install the roll pin through the bearing assembly and shaft
Align and press the bearing assembly into the pump head
Install the coupling half and tighten the setscrew
Pump Inspection

Inspect components for damage
Replace any damaged components
Bearing Assembly Inspection
Inspect bearing assembly for issues
Replace bearing assembly if issues are found
Pump Shaft Inspection
Inspect pump shaft for excessive wear
Replace pump shaft if excessive wear is found
Pump Disassembly
Disassembly
Loosen the setscrew and remove the half coupling (item 2) from the end of the pump shaft.
Gently hold the intake tube and use a 3/8” punch and hammer to drive the bottom of the shaft (item 11) toward the top until the bearing assembly (item 3) is exposed.
Use a 1/8” punch to drive out the roll pin in the center of the bearing assembly (item 3) and slide the bearing assembly off of the shaft.
Remove the pump shaft assembly by pushing it down through the intake tube (item 7) and out the bottom.
Remove and discard the seal assembly (item 4). Never re-use a seal assembly.
Post Disassembly Check
Ensure all parts are removed and accounted for
