250 Hourly Hydraulic Oil Level Replacement

Lower the device with no load onto the inspection support.

Place an oil drip tray beneath the hydraulic cylinder.

Disconnect the hydraulic hoses from the cylinder and lay them into the oil drip tray.

Operate the hydraulic pump (raise) until no more oil comes out of the hoses.

Re-fit the hoses.

Remove the vent plug from the tank.

Fill with oil.

Please refer to the enclosed dimensions sheet for filling amounts.

Screw the vent plug back into the tank.

Venting the Hydraulic System

Lower the device with no load onto the inspection support

Unscrew the vent plug on the hydraulic cylinders by 1-2 rotations

Are there vent plugs on the cylinders?

If you can find no vent plugs the cylinders have been designed and fitted to be self-venting

Actuate the hydraulic pump (raise) until the oil appears at the vent opening with no bubbles

Check the oil level

Is it necessary to top up with oil?

Sign off on the venting procedure

1 Yearly Hydraulic Hoses & Hydraulic Oil Level Check

Warning: This check requires an expert!

Hydraulic hose lines in safe condition

Check for visible damage on the outer lining

Does the hose deform when pressurised or depressurised?

Are there any leaks between the hose and fittings?

Does the hose work loose from the fittings?

Hydraulic oil level check

If any damages discovered, specify the corresponding hose(s)

Pressure hoses replaced if necessary?

Initial 50 Hours Hydraulic Oil Replacement

Lower the device with no load onto the inspection support

Place an oil drip tray beneath the hydraulic cylinder

Disconnect the hydraulic hoses from the cylinder and lay them into the oil drip tray

Operate the hydraulic pump (raise) until no more oil comes out of the hoses

Re-fit the hoses

Remove the vent plug from the tank

Fill with oil

Enter the amount of oil filled

Screw the vent plug back into the tank

Hydraulic Unit Maintenance

DANGER! Hydraulic oil can cause skin rashes and other injuries to health. Avoid prolonged skin contact. Wash thoroughly after any contact. Wear protective clothing!

Protect the environment: The handling and disposal of mineral oils is governed by laws. Bring any used oil to an authorised collection point. Further information is available from the pertinent authorities. Take care not to spill any hydraulic oil. Risk of fire! Take precautions to catch any spilt oil (lay out oilproof tarpaulin, provide a drip tray).

This device has been filled with biodegradable hydraulic oil. This hydraulic oil meets the requirements of Water Hazard Class 1. The instructions above should nevertheless be heeded. It is not miscible with water! Hydraulic oil used: HEES 46 (bio-oil).
