Ensure power is removed before zero adjustment

Perform zero adjust on voltage front panel analog meter

Perform zero adjust on current front panel analog meter

Disconnect the power source before removing the cover

Wait for 20 minutes for discharge of storage capacitance

Current Channel and Ammeter Calibration

Check mark

Connect a short across the output terminals of the power supply

Check mark

Connect a millivoltmeter across the current shunt sense terminals observing correct polarity

Check mark

Turn the Voltage control clockwise and the Current control completely counterclockwise

Check mark

Turn the circuit breaker on

Check mark

Adjust R47 (or R77 if unit is a 5KW) until the voltage across shunt starts to increase

Inspection and Cleaning

Clean exterior with a clean dry cloth

Remove screws from all sides of cover and remove cover

Check mark

Check for loose wires, burn marks, etc.

Check mark

Remove dust from parts (fans) with a small, long bristled brush or use an air blower

Voltage Channel and Voltmeter Calibration

Disconnect any load from output of the power supply

Check mark

Connect a digital voltmeter across output terminals

Check mark

Set control positions

Check mark

Apply input power and turn the circuit breaker on

Check mark

Adjust R55 while monitoring the voltmeter until output voltage starts to increase, then decrease to zero
