Wipe down external surfaces of unit

Inspect control panel for loose wires, burned contacts, signs of overheated wires

Restart unit and check performance

Inspect the head gasket for physical disfigurement

Check the gasket for signs of deterioration

Does the gasket need renewal based on inspection results?

Are bubbles visible in the flash economizer feed line sight glass during unit operation?

Add refrigerant through the charging valve on the evaporator feed line until the condenser drain sight glass is clear.

Is the sight glass clear at all operating conditions?

Check the current oil level in the compressor

Is the oil level within the normal range?

Drain the old oil from the compressor

Refill the compressor with new oil

Check the new oil level in the compressor

Record full load performance data on the log sheet

Check if the approach for either vessel increases by more than 2°F above the approach recorded at clean conditions

Clean the waterside surfaces if necessary

Consult water treatment specialists for recommended chemicals

Rinse the system thoroughly after cleaning to remove chemicals

Drain the water from the vessel tubes

Remove the headers from the vessel tubes

Brush each tube individually with a tube cleaning brush with stiff nylon bristles

Replace the headers, ensuring proper positioning of gaskets
