Air Filter Removal

1. Remove the air filters.

Check mark

The air filter is not marked for difference between the right and left sides.

Check mark

Insert the air filter with the “FRONT” mark faced up.

Check mark

The air filter can be set easily by inserting it along the guides.

Be sure to insert the hooks (at 2 lower positions) when mounting the air filter.

1) Open the front panel.

Check mark

2) Pull out the air filter downward and remove it.

Check mark

2. Remove the Titanium apatite photocatalytic airpurifying filters.

Drain Pan Unit / Swing Motor Removal

Warning: Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.

1. Remove the drain pan unit.

Check mark

Inserting a wooden base beneath the unit facilitates the removing work.

Check mark

Lift up the indoor unit slightly and pull out the drain hose.

Check mark

Place a plastic sheet under the drain pan to prevent from wetting the floor with remaining drain.

1) Remove the screw at the right side of the drain pan unit.

Check mark

2) Press the right side of the drain pan unit and twist the left side.

Check mark

3) Remove the drain pan unit from the indoor unit.

Check mark

When reassembling, make sure that the hook at the left side is fitted in the groove.

Electrical Box Removal

Warning: Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.

Remove the screw of the wire fixture.

Check mark

Remove the 4 screws of the terminal board and disconnect the connecting wires.

Check mark

Disconnect the connector [S6].

Check mark

Disconnect the connector [S7].

Check mark

Note: [S6]: swing motor, [S7]: AC fan motor. DC fan motor models have no harness for [S7].

Check mark

Remove the screw and remove the drip proof plate.

Check mark

Pull out the indoor heat exchanger thermistor.

Check mark

Remove the screw and detach the earth / ground wire.

Fan Motor Removal

Check mark

Release the fan motor lead wires from the hooks.

Check mark

Remove the screw of the fan rotor.

Check mark

Remove the 2 screws of the fan motor fixing plate.

Check mark

Unfasten the hook (a) of the fan motor fixing plate.

Check mark

Unfasten the hook (b) and remove the fan motor fixing plate.

Check mark

Remove the fan motor.

Check mark

Sign off on the fan motor removal.

Fan Rotor Removal

Check mark

Warning: Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.

Check mark

Remove the 2 screws of the right side plate.

Check mark

Release the fan motor lead wire from the hooks and remove the right side plate.

Check mark

When reassembling the fan motor and the fan rotor, provide as much as 5 mm (0.2 inch) of play between the side face of the rotor and the bottom frame.

Check mark

Insert the fan motor with approx. 5 mm (0.2 inch) left.

Check mark

Tighten the screw until it stops. Then give the screw one more turn.

Check mark

Rotate the fan rotor and confirm the fan motor and the fan rotor are installed appropriately.

Check mark

Tighten the screw completely if appropriate.

Check mark

If not appropriate, go back to (1).
