Air Filter / Front Panel Removal
Warning Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.
Warning: Dangerous: High voltage
A high voltage is applied to all the electric circuits of this product including thermistors.
When the signal receiver catches a signal from the remote controller, the receiving tone sounds and the operation lamp blinks immediately to confirm the signal reception.
When the ON/OFF button is kept pressed for 5 seconds, the forced cooling operation is performed for about 15 minutes.
1. Remove the air filters.
1 Open the front panel to the position where it stops.
2 Slightly push up the center knob of the air filter and unfasten the hooks.
3 Pull out the air filter downward and remove it.
Electrical Box / PCB / Swing Motor Removal
Warning Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.
1. Remove the electrical box.
Preparation
Remove the front grille according to the “Removal of Front Grille”.
1 Remove the screw and remove the drip proof plate.
2 Cut the clamp.
3 Pull out the indoor heat exchanger thermistor.
4 Remove the screw of the ground.
5 Remove the screws of the connection wires.
Electronic Expansion Valve Check
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Is the EV connector correctly connected to the PCB?
Turn the power off and on again, did the EV generate latching sound?
If the EV does not generate latching sound, proceed to the next step
After disconnecting the connector, did the tester confirm continuity?
Check the continuity between the pins
If there is no continuity between the pins, the EV coil is faulty
If the continuity is confirmed, is the outdoor unit PCB faulty?
Sign off on the electronic expansion valve check
Fan Motor Connector Output Check
FTXN15/18/24KVJU
1. Check the connection of connector.
2. Check the motor power supply voltage output (pins 4 - 7).
3. Check the motor control voltage (pins 4 - 3).
4. Check the rotation command voltage (pins 4 - 2).
5. Check the rotation pulse (pins 4 - 1).
FTXN09/12KEVJU
Fan motor wire breakdown / short circuit check
1. Check the connector for connection.
Fan Motor / Fan Rotor Removal
Warning: Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.
Right side plate removed
Fan motor and rotor removed
Enter the play between the side face of the rotor and the bottom frame in mm
Fan motor inserted with approx. 5 mm left
Screw tightened until it stops and given one more turn
Fan rotor rotated and confirmed the fan motor and the fan rotor are installed appropriately
Screw tightened completely if appropriate
Fan rotor removed
