1. Appearance features

Dangerous: High voltage
A high voltage is applied to all the electric circuits of this product including thermistors.
When a signal from the remote controller is received, the receiving tone sounds and the operation lamp flickers immediately to confirm the signal reception.
When the ON/OFF button is kept pressed for 5 seconds, the forced cooling operation is performed for about 15 minutes.
2. Remove the air filters.
1 Open the front panel to the position where it stops.
Electrical Box / Vertical Blade Removal

1. Disconnect the connecting wires.
Preparation
Remove the front grille according to the “Removal of Front Grille”.
1 Remove the screw of the service cover.
2 Pull out the service cover down in the direction of the arrow.
3 The figure shows the connections of wire harnesses.
4 Remove the screw of the wire retaining plate.
5 Loosen the screws of the terminal board and disconnect the connecting wires.
Electronic Expansion Valve Check
EV connector correctly connected to the PCB
EV generates latching sound when power is turned off and on
Continuity confirmed when connector is disconnected and checked with a tester
Check continuity between the pins
EV coil is not faulty
Outdoor unit PCB is not faulty
Note: Latching sound varies depending on the valve type
Fan Motor Connector Output Check

1. Check the connection of connector.
2. Check the motor power supply voltage output (pins 4 - 7).
3. Check the motor control voltage (pins 4 - 3).
4. Check the rotation command voltage (pins 4 - 2).
5. Check the rotation pulse (pins 4 - 1).

Fan motor wire breakdown / short circuit check
1. Check the connector for connection.

1. Remove the right side panel.
Preparation
Remove the indoor heat exchanger according to the “Removal of Indoor Heat Exchanger”.
1 Remove the screw of the right side panel.
2 Unfasten the hook of the right side panel.
3 Remove the right side panel.
2. Remove the fan rotor and the fan motor.
1 The fan motor has 3 projections on the right side.
