Outer Panel Removal
Warning Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.
1. Remove the panels.
1 Remove the 4 screws and lift the top panel.
Take care not to cut your finger by the fins of the outdoor heat exchanger.
2 Remove the 4 screws and remove the discharge grille.
Slide the discharge grille upwards and remove it.
The discharge grille has 4 hooks.
3 Remove the 6 screws of the front panel.
4 Push the front panel and lift the shield plate to unfasten the hooks.
Power Supply Waveform Check
Warning: This procedure should be performed by a trained technician
Measure the power supply waveform between No.1 and No.2 on the terminal board
Upload a photo of the measured waveform
Is the power supply waveform a sine wave?
Is there waveform disturbance near the zero cross?
Sign off on the power supply waveform check
Hall IC Check
Check the connector connection
Output voltage between pins 1 and 3
Number of pulses generated between pins 2 and 3 when the fan motor is operating
If NG in step 1, what is the defect?
If NG in step 2, what is the defect?
If OK in both steps 1 and 2, what is the action?
Sign off on the Hall IC Check
Outdoor Fan / Fan Motor Removal
Warning: Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.
Removed the electrical box cover?
Removed the screw of the shield plate?
Unfastened the 2 hooks and removed the shield plate?
Unfastened the 4 hooks of the electrical box cover and removed it?
Disconnected the connector for the fan motor [S70]?
Released the fan motor lead wire from the 7 hooks?
Removed the washer fitted nut of the outdoor fan?
Removed the lower 2 screws from the fan motor first?
Thermistor Resistance Check
Warning: Disconnect the connectors of the thermistors from the PCB before proceeding
Measure the resistance of each thermistor using tester
Select the model of the thermistor
Refer to the table and graph for the relationship between normal temperature and resistance
Does the measured resistance match the expected resistance for the normal temperature?
Sign off on the thermistor resistance check
