PCB Removal
Warning Be sure to wait 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.
1. Remove the main PCB.
You can remove the main PCB when you disconnect the lead wires on the terminal board without removing the electrical box.
1 Feature of the main PCB
2 Remove the screw on the terminal board.
3 Release the 2 earth terminals.
4 Pull out the forced operation button PCB. Disconnect the connector [S110] to remove the forced operation button PCB.
Be careful of a sharp protrusion at the back of the forced operation button PCB.
5 Disconnect the relay connector.
Rotation Pulse Check
RK(X)S20-50G2V1B, ARXS20-50G2V1B
Voltage between the pins 4 - 7
Control voltage between the pins 3 - 4
Rotation command voltage between the pins 2 - 4
2 pulses (0 ~ 15 VDC) are output at the pins 1 - 4 when the fan motor is rotated 1 turn by hand
RK(X)S20-35G2V1B9, ARXS20-35G3V1B
Voltage between the pins 10 - 11
Hall IC generates the rotation pulse (0 ~ 15 VDC) 4 times between the pins 10 - 12, 10 - 13, when the fan motor is manually rotated once
If NG in step 2 → Defective PCB → Replace the outdoor unit PCB
Power Module Check
Warning: Ensure that the voltage between (+) and (–) of the diode bridge (DB1) is approx. 0 V before proceeding.
Voltage between (+) and (–) of the diode bridge (DB1) is approx. 0 V?
Disconnect the compressor harness connector from the outdoor unit PCB. To disengage the connector, press the protrusion on the connector.
Compressor harness connector successfully disconnected?
Measure resistance between the terminals of the DB1 and the terminals of the compressor with a multi-tester.
Enter the resistance measurement
Is the resistance measurement within the acceptable range?
Sign off on the power module check
Main Circuit Short Check
Warning: Ensure the voltage between (+) and (–) of the diode bridge (DB1) is approx. 0 V before checking.
Enter the voltage between (+) and (–) of the diode bridge (DB1)
If the voltage is not approx. 0 V, stop the procedure and report the issue.
Enter the resistance between the pins of the DB1
Is the resistance ∞ or less than 1 kΩ?
If the resistance is ∞ or less than 1 kΩ, a short circuit occurs on the main circuit.
Sign off on the main circuit short check
Outer Panels / Fan Motor Removal
Warning Be sure to wait 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.
1. Appearance features
Take care not to cut your finger by the fins of the outdoor heat exchanger.
2. Remove the panels.
1 Remove the screw of the stop valve cover. Pull down the stop valve cover and remove it.
The stop valve cover is united with the shield plate.
When reassembling, make sure to fit the 5 hooks.
2 Remove the 2 screws and lift the top panel.
3 Remove the drip proof plate.
