Compressor Removal
Warning: Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.
Removed the 2 nuts of the compressor?
Warning: Be careful not to get yourself burnt with pipes and other parts that are heated by the gas brazing machine.
Warning: If the refrigerant gas leaks during work, ventilate the room. (If the refrigerant gas is exposed to flames, toxic gas may be generated.)
Warning: Since it may happen that the refrigerant oil in the compressor catches fire, prepare wet cloth so as to extinguish fire immediately.
Caution: From the viewpoint of global environment protection, do not discharge the refrigerant gas in the atmosphere. Make sure to collect all the refrigerant gas.
Cautions for restoration
Restored the piping by nonoxidation brazing?
Prevented the carbonization of the oil inside the four-way valve and the deterioration of the gaskets affected by heat? (Keep below 120°C (248°F).)
Electronic Expansion Valve Check
EV connector correctly connected to the PCB
EV generates a latching sound when power is turned off and on again
Continuity confirmed when connector is disconnected and checked with a tester
Check the continuity between the pins
If there is no continuity between the pins, the EV coil is faulty
If the continuity is confirmed in step 3, the outdoor unit PCB is faulty
Note: Please note that the latching sound varies depending on the valve type

PCB Removal
Warning Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.;1. Remove the main PCB and the forced operation button PCB.
You can remove the main PCB when you disconnect the lead wires on the terminal board without removing the electrical box.
1 Layout of the main PCB
2 Remove the screw on the terminal board.
3 Release the 2 ground wires.
4 Pull out the forced operation button PCB.
Disconnect the connector [S110] to remove the forced operation button PCB.
Be careful of a sharp protrusion at the back of the forced operation button PCB.
5 Cut the clamp.
Thermistor Resistance Check
Warning: Disconnect the connectors of the thermistors from the PCB before proceeding
Thermistors disconnected from the PCB?
Measure the resistance of each thermistor
Note: The relationship between normal temperature and resistance is shown in the table and the graph below
Is the room temperature thermistor directly mounted on the display PCB?
If yes, remove the display PCB from the control PCB to measure the resistance
Is the indoor heat exchanger thermistor soldered on the PCB?
If yes, remove the thermistor and measure the resistance
Sign off on the thermistor resistance check
Fan Motor Connector Output Check
Check the connection of connector
Check the motor power supply voltage output (pins 4 - 7)
Check the motor control voltage (pins 4 - 3)
Check the rotation command voltage (pins 4 - 2)
Check the rotation pulse (pins 4 - 1)
