Sound Blanket / Thermistor Removal
Warning: Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.
Sound blanket (back) removed
Sound blanket (outer) removed
Warning: Since the piping ports are torn easily, remove the sound blanket carefully.
Sound blanket (top upper) removed
Sound blanket (top lower) removed
Sound blanket (inner) removed
Discharge pipe thermistor released
Warning: Be careful not to lose the clip for the thermistor.
Four Way Valve Removal
Warning: Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.
Remove the screw and remove the four way valve coil.
Warning: Be careful not to get yourself burnt with the pipes and other parts that are heated by the gas brazing machine.
Warning: If the refrigerant gas leaks during work, ventilate the room. (If the refrigerant gas is exposed to flames, toxic gas may be generated.)
Caution: From the viewpoint of global environment protection, do not discharge the refrigerant gas in the atmosphere. Make sure to collect all the refrigerant gas.
Cautions for restoration:
Restore the piping by nonoxidation brazing.
It is required to prevent the carbonization of the oil inside the four way valve and the deterioration of the gaskets affected by heat. (Keep below 120°C.) For the sake of this, wrap the four way valve with wet cloth and provide water so that the cloth does not dry.
Note:
Rotation Pulse Input on the Outdoor Unit PCB Check
Outdoor fan motor
Voltage between the pins 4 - 7
Control voltage between the pins 3 - 4
Rotation command voltage between the pins 2 - 4
2 pulses (0 ~ 15 VDC) are output at the pins 1 - 4 when the fan motor is rotated 1 turn by hand
Fuse is not melted
If NG in step 2
If NG in step 4
If OK in both steps 2 and 4
Hall IC Check
Check the connector connection
With the power on, operation off, and the connector connected, check the following
Output voltage of about 5 V between pins 1 and 3
Generation of 3 pulses between pins 2 and 3 when the fan motor is operating
If NG in step 1 or 2, select the defective part
If OK in both steps 1 and 2, select the part to replace
Sign off on the Hall IC Check
Thermistor Resistance Check
Disconnect the connectors of the thermistors from the PCB
Thermistors disconnected successfully
Measure the resistance of each thermistor using tester
Check the relationship between normal temperature and resistance
Upload the graph showing the relationship between temperature and resistance
