Electronic Expansion Valve Removal
Warning: Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.
Pull out the electronic expansion valve coil.
Remove the sheets of putty.
Warning: Be careful not to get yourself burnt with the pipes and other parts that are heated by the gas brazing machine.
Warning: If the refrigerant gas leaks during work, ventilate the room. (If the refrigerant gas is exposed to flames, toxic gas may be generated.)
Caution: From the viewpoint of global environment protection, do not discharge the refrigerant gas in the atmosphere. Make sure to collect all the refrigerant gas.
Before working, make sure that the refrigerant gas is empty in the circuit.
Be sure to apply nitrogen replacement when heating up the brazed part.
Heat up the 2 brazed parts of the electronic expansion valve and remove it.
Outdoor Fan / Fan Motor Removal
Warning: Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.
Removed the electrical box cover
Removed the screw of the shield plate
Unfastened the 2 hooks and removed the shield plate
Unfastened the 4 hooks of the electrical box cover and removed it
Disconnected the connector for the fan motor [S70]
Released the fan motor lead wire from the 7 hooks
Removed the washer fitted nut of the outdoor fan
Removed the lower 2 screws from the fan motor first
Thermistor Resistance Check
Disconnect the connectors of the thermistors from the PCB
Thermistors disconnected successfully
Measure the resistance of each thermistor using tester
Check the relationship between normal temperature and resistance
Upload the graph showing the relationship between temperature and resistance
Sign off on the thermistor resistance check
PCB Removal
Warning: Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.
Preparation: Remove the electrical box according to the “Removal of Electrical Box”.
Disconnect the connectors from the service monitor PCB [S52] [S102].
Detach the 4 clamps with pliers.
Remove the screws of the terminal board and the earth wire.
Unfasten the hook on the right.
Open the terminal board.
Disconnect the harnesses.
Disconnect the 2 connectors for the reactor [HR1] [HR2].
Sound Blanket / Thermistor Removal
Warning: Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.
Sound blanket (back) removed
Sound blanket (outer) removed
Warning: Since the piping ports are torn easily, remove the sound blanket carefully.
Sound blanket (top upper) removed
Sound blanket (top lower) removed
Sound blanket (inner) removed
Discharge pipe thermistor released
Warning: Be careful not to lose the clip for the thermistor.
