Brewer Cleaning
Clean all surfaces on Bunn-O-Matic equipment with a damp cloth rinsed in any mild, nonabrasive, liquid detergent
Check and clean the sprayhead
Ensure the sprayhead holes remain open
Brewer Control Board Maintenance
Warning: This maintenance check requires trained personnel with PPE!
Test the Brewer Control Board
If the control board fails the test, proceed to replace the Brewer Control Board
Disconnect the black wire and blue wire from the relay on the control board
Disconnect the 10-pin connector and the 4-pin connector from the main wiring harness
Disconnect the 11-pin connector from the control panel
Remove the four #6 screws and four nylon washers and the two #4-40 screws securing the control board to the end cap assembly
Install a new control board and secure with the four #6 screws and nylon washers and the two #4- 40 screws to the end cap assembly
NOTE: The four nylon washers must be installed under the heads of the four #6 screws to prevent a possible shorting of the control board circuits
Brewer Dispense Valve Replacement
Disconnect wires from the dispense valve
Drain enough water from the tank so the dispense valve is above the water level
Remove water lines from the dispense valve
Remove the two #8-32 nuts securing the dispense valve to the sprayhead panel
Install a new dispense valve using the two #8-32 nuts
Reconnect water lines to the dispense valve and secure in place with clamps
Reconnect wires
Sign off on the valve replacement
Brewer Dispense Valve Test
Disconnect the brewer from the power source
Check the water level in the tank to confirm that it is within 1/2\ from the top of the tank"
Connect the brewer to the power source. If the brewer has been set for brewer temperature lock-out, this feature must be disabled.
Check the dispense valve for coil action. Place the ON/OFF switch in the \ON\" position
Disconnect the brewer from the power source
If the sound is heard as described, there may be a blockage in the dispense valve or the water line to the sprayhead. Remove the dispense valve and inspect for wear, and remove waterborne particles
If the sound is not heard as described, proceed to #6
Connect the voltmeter lead ends to the dispense valve coil terminals. Connect the brewer to the power source. Brewer temperature lockout must be disabled. Place \ON/OFF\" Switch in the \"ON\" position. Press and release the brew switch. The indication must be 120 volts ac"
Disconnect the brewer from the power source
Brewer Limit Thermostat Replacement
Warning: Ensure the brewer is unplugged before starting the procedure
Black and blue wires removed from limit thermostat terminals
Limit thermostat slid out from under the retaining clip
New limit thermostat slid into the retaining clip
Wires reconnected
Sign off on the thermostat replacement
