Sewing Machine Lubrication

Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Use only the lubricating oil <JXTG Energy Sewing Lube 10N; VG10> specified by Brother. If this type of lubricating oil is difficult to obtain, the recommended oil to use is <Exxon Mobil Essotex SM10; VG10>.

Is the lubricating oil level above the bottom reference line (2) of the oil gauge window (1)?

Check the quantity of oil in the gearbox immediately after tilting back the machine head.

Is the oil level approximately 2mm above the center reference line in the oil window (1)?

If the oil level is below the normal level, add more lubricating oil.

Remove the rubber cap (3).

Add lubricating oil until the oil level is approximately 2mm above the center reference line in the oil window (1).

Pour the lubricating oil 10 ml at a time while checking the oil window.
