Initial 20 Hours / 1 Months Engine Oil Replacement
WARNING! Avoid draining the engine oil immediately after stopping the engine. The oil is hot and should be handled with care to avoid burns
Place the generator on a level surface and warm up the engine for several minutes. Stop the engine and turn the 3 in 1 switch knob and fuel tank cap air vent knob to 'OFF'
Remove the screw * and then remove the oil filler decal
Remove the oil filler cap
Place an oil pan under the engine. Tilt the generator to drain the oil completely
NOTICE! Do not tilt the generator when adding engine oil. This could result in overfilling and damage to the engine
Replace the generator to a level surface
Add engine oil to the upper level
Wipe the cover clean, and and wipe up any spoiled oil
100 Hourly / 6 Monthly Muffler Screen Cleaning
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Remove the screws and pull outward on the areas of the cover
Loosen the bolt and remove the muffler cap, the muffler screen and spark arrester
Notice: When cleaning, use the wire brush lightly to avoid damaging or scratching the muffler screen and spark arrester
Clean the carbon on the muffler screen by wire brush
Check the muffler screen and spark arrester, replace if it damage
Install spark arrester
Warning: If using in areas prone to fires such as forest or woods, never use an engine without an appropriate spark arrester
Align the spark arrester projection with the hole in the muffler pipe
100 Hourly / 6 Monthly Spark Plug Inspection
Spark Plug Removal
Cap I and spark plug cap 2 removed
Tool 4 inserted through the hole from the outside of the cover
Handlebar 3 inserted into the tool 4 and turned counterclockwise to remove the spark plug
Spark Plug Inspection
Spark plug discoloration checked
Carbon deposits removed
Porcelain insulator around the center electrode of spark plug checked and is a medium to light tan color
Spark plug type and gap checked
300 Hourly / 12 Monthly Portable Inverter Generator Maintenance
Check hose weather for cracks or damages. Replace if necessary
Decarbonize cylinder head. More frequently is necessary
Check and adjust valve clearance when engine is cold
Check all fittings and fasteners. Correct if necessary
Sign off on the generator maintenance
