UPS Service
Warning: Only trained personnel should perform this procedure
Select the storage temperature range
If storage temperature is < 77°F (25°C), charge batteries every four months. If >= 77°F (25°C), charge every two months.
Enter the current temperature of the storage area
UPS connected to an appropriate power source?
Allow the batteries to charge for about five hours
Enter the date recharging was performed
Sign off on the UPS service
3 Yearly Battery Replacement
CAUTION: Servicing of batteries should be performed or supervised by personnel knowledgeable about batteries and the required precautions.
WARNING: A damaged battery may leak electrolyte that can be dangerous in contact with skin and cause irritation to the eyes.
WARNING: Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. The batteries may explode.
WARNING: Do not open or damage the battery cases. Released electrolyte is harmful to the skin and eyes and may be toxic.
WARNING: A battery can present a risk of electrical shock and high short-circuit current.
Place the UPS in bypass mode
Remove the left side of the front cover
Remove the four screws securing the battery retention plate
Disconnect the battery connectors
UPS Cleaning
Warning: Do not use scouring powder or plastic dissolving solutions to clean the UPS
Warning: Do not allow liquid to get inside the UPS
Air vents on the UPS are not obstructed
Dust removed from the air vents with a vacuum cleaner
Outside of the UPS housing cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth
Sign off on the UPS cleaning
