Unplug HRV and remove front access door

Slide the air filters and Core forward and remove

Unplug the motor leads at the connector located beneath the fan tray

Remove the fan tray securing screws

Clean the wheels using a small brush (e.g., toothbrush)

Unplug the unit before starting the inspection

Check for debris on the mesh cover(s)

Are the exhaust and fresh air supply ports free from restrictions?

Ensure the unit is plugged back in after inspection

Did you avoid repositioning the damper door?

Open the access door (swings forward)

Slide the air filters and Heat Recovery Core forward and remove

Remove the electrical control box cover

Remove the fan tray securing screw at the inside rear of the fan tray using a #2 (red) Robertson screwdriver

Loosen the front fan tray securing screw by one (1) full turn

Ensure the fan is turned off and disconnected from power

Gather necessary cleaning tools and materials

Inspect fan blades for dust and dirt accumulation

Clean each fan blade thoroughly

Is there any visible damage to the fan blades?

Check for any imbalance in the fan blades after cleaning
