Fan Proventor Maintenance
Preparation
Unplug HRV and remove front access door
Slide the air filters and Core forward and remove
Fan Tray Removal
Unplug the motor leads at the connector located beneath the fan tray
Remove the fan tray securing screws
Slide the fan tray to the left
Cleaning
Clean the wheels using a small brush (e.g., toothbrush)
1 Monthly Exterior Hood Inspection
Pre-Inspection Safety
Unplug the unit before starting the inspection
Exterior Hood Inspection
Check for debris on the mesh cover(s)
Are the exhaust and fresh air supply ports free from restrictions?
Post-Inspection Guidelines
Ensure the damper door has not been repositioned
Plug the unit back in after inspection
Fan Superventor Maintenance
Preparation
Unplug unit
Open access door (swings forward)
Component Removal
Slide the air filters and Heat Recovery Core forward and remove
Remove the electrical control box cover
Fan Tray Removal
Remove the fan tray securing screw at the inside rear of the fan tray using a #2 (red) Robertson screwdriver
Loosen the front fan tray securing screw by one (1) full turn
3 Yearly Fan Blades Cleaning
Preparation
Ensure the fan is turned off and disconnected from power supply
Gather necessary cleaning tools and materials
Cleaning Process
Inspect fan blades for visible dust and dirt accumulation
Clean each fan blade thoroughly using a damp cloth or appropriate cleaning solution
Check for any signs of wear or damage on the fan blades
