SULLAIR Rotary Vacuum System VS16 40HP: Open

Check the fluid level in the sump

If fluid level is low, add the necessary amount

If the addition of fluid becomes too frequent, refer to the Troubleshooting Section (6.7) under Excessive Fluid Consumption

After a routine start, observe the gauges to monitor the correct readings

After the machine has warmed up, perform a general check on the overall machine and gauges

Ensure that the Vacuum System is running properly

Sign off on the daily vacuum system maintenance

Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Relieve all pressure from the sump tank

Disconnect all piping connected to the sump cover to allow removal of return lines, discharge lines, etc.

Loosen and remove the twelve (12) hex head capscrews from the cover plate

Lift the cover plate from the sump

Inspect the receiver/sump tank for rust, dirt, etc.

Scrape the old gasket material from the cover and the flange on the sump. Be careful not to let the scraps fall in the sump.

Reinsert the separator element(s) into the sum taking care not to dent it against the tank opening.

SEPARATOR ELEMENTS REPLACEMENT - 50HP/30KW

Refer to Figure 6-3B. The separator elements must be changed when 'Separator Maintenance Required' message is displayed, or once a year whichever occurs first. Order separator elements, number 250034-124 (primary), and number 250034-130 (secondary).

Relieve all pressure from the separator and all compressor lines.

Disconnect all piping connected to the separator cover (return lines, service lines, etc.) to allow removal.

Loosen and remove the twelve (12) 3/4' x 3' hex head capscrews from the cover plate.

Lift the cover plate from the separator.

Remove the primary and secondary separator elements.

Scrape the old gasket material from the cover and flange on the sump being careful not to let the scraps fall into the sump.

DO NOT blow dirt out of housing with compressed air.

Filter maintenance gauge indicates replacement

Enter the machine's hour meter reading

Enter the date of the last fluid filter replacement

Upload a photo of the new fluid filter

Sign off on the fluid filter maintenance

Lubricate the Sullicon Control linkage

Replace the fluid filter element

Drain the sump and change the vacuum pump fluid

Clean the fluid pump suction strainer

Sign off on the 4000 hourly vacuum system maintenance
