Wheel Locking Force Adjustment
Remove the screw from the center of the lock pedal
Remove the octagonal sleeve (B) from the pedal (A)
Rotate the octagonal sleeve to adjust locking force
Insert the octagonal sleeve (B) into the pedal (A)
Reinstall the screw into the center of the lock pedal
Testing and Verification
Test the pedal locking force
Verify that the pedal holds properly before returning the chair to service
If the pedal does not hold the wheel properly after adjustment, replace the wheel
Vinyl Seat Replacement
Seat Section Installation
Place the seat section on the frame, wrap it around the seat tube and fit the slots in the seat section over the clips on the underside of the seat tube. Ensure the 'shiny' side of the seat is on the inside.
Tip the chair on its back to allow access to the bottom of the seat tube.
Front Strap Installation
Insert both ends of the front strap through the loops in the seat section.
Thread the end of the front strap through the buckle and pull it tight.
Back Strap Installation
Thread the end of the back strap through the buckle and pull it tight.
Tip the chair back up on its wheels.
Rear Wheel Replacement
Tools Required
Ensure you have the following tools
Wheel Replacement Procedure
Turn the chair upside down so it is resting on the seat frame and back frame
Using a 1/2” wrench and a 3/16” hex key, remove the button head cap screw, nut, spacers and wheel from the frame
Discard the cap screw and nut
Use the new fasteners provided to attach the new wheel to the frame
Repeat for the other wheel, if necessary

All fasteners secure (reference all assembly drawings)
All welds intact, not cracked or broken
No bent or broken tubing or sheet metal
Wheel and Caster Inspection
No debris in wheels
All wheels secure and rolling properly
Patient Stair Chair Cleaning
Selection of Cleaning Agent
Select the appropriate cleaning agent
Ensure lodophor type disinfectants are not used
Cleaning Process
Avoid over saturation of the chair
Ensure the product does not stay wet longer than the chemical manufacturer’s guidelines
Wipe the chair with a cloth soaked in clean water after cleaning
Thoroughly dry the chair following cleaning
