Check belt condition and tension

Record the number of times belt tension was checked in the first 24 hours of operation

Are the sheaves free of grooves and wear?

Remove dust and grease buildup on the motor housing

Does the motor have sealed bearings?

24 Hours Post Start-Up Maintenance

Readjust the tension on the motor drive belts

Check the air filters for dust, dirt, and debris

Enter the pressure drop across the filter banks

Is the pressure drop within the acceptable range?

Replace the paper filter if it is dirty

Ensure the new filter is properly installed

Dispose of the old filter properly

Measure the belt span length in inches

Calculate the required belt deflection (1/64" per inch of belt span)

Measure the actual belt deflection using moderate thumb pressure at mid-point of the drive

Is the belt deflection within the required range?

Belt Condition and Alignment Check

Inspect belts for signs of wear or damage

Check for proper alignment of sheaves

Switch the main disconnect to OFF

Open the door to the Energy Recovery Module

Pull each core straight out of its guides

Ensure foam gasketing is on one end of each core

Reinstall the core with foam gasketing toward the back of the ERV

Ensure the core label is facing toward the front
