Enter the order no. (part number) of the diaphragm or spare parts kit

Take protective measures, if necessary

Note the material safety data sheet for the feed chemical

Prevent the escape of feed chemical

Ensure that the system is at atmospheric pressure

Empty the liquid end by turning it upside down and allowing the feed chemical to run out

Flush out with a suitable medium

Ensure all spare parts are available

Install the new vPTFE diaphragm

Valve and Connector Installation

Replace the liquid end diaphragm

Unscrew the diaphragm rupture indicator using an AF 14 open-ended spanner

Clean the diaphragm rupture indicator with suitable liquid, preferably water (polysulphone material)

Test the connected diaphragm rupture indicator by fully immersing the tapered section at the front in water

Does the continuous display indicate a diaphragm rupture?

Thoroughly dry the diaphragm rupture indicator

Read the safety information and specifications in the 'Storage, Transport and Unpacking' chapter.

Disconnect the pump from the mains power supply.

Ensure the system is at atmospheric pressure before commencing work on hydraulic parts.

Check if the diaphragm is damaged. Refer to 'Repair' if necessary.

Check metering diaphragm more frequently if using feed chemicals with abrasive additives.

Read the safety information and specifications in the 'Storage, Transport and Unpacking' chapter prior to shipping the pump.

Ensure the pump is disconnected from the mains power supply and cannot be switched on again by unauthorized persons.

Ensure the system is at atmospheric pressure before commencing any work on hydraulic parts of the system.

Verify the use of original spare parts only.

Use the correct spare parts kits. Refer to the exploded views and ordering information in the appendix if in doubt.

Check that the hydraulic lines are fixed firmly to the liquid end.
