Disconnect the pump from the mains power supply.

Ensure the system is at atmospheric pressure before commencing work on hydraulic parts.

Are original spare parts being used?

Is the correct spare parts kit being used?

Check the diaphragm for damage as per 'Repair' guidelines.

Enter the order number of the diaphragm or spare parts kit

Take protective measures, if necessary

Note the material safety data sheet for the feed chemical

Prevent the escape of feed chemical

Ensure that the system is at atmospheric pressure

Turn the liquid end upside down and allow the feed chemical to run out

Flush out with a suitable medium

Replace the liquid end diaphragm

Unscrew the diaphragm rupture indicator using an AF 14 open-ended spanner

Clean the diaphragm rupture indicator with suitable liquid

Test the connected diaphragm rupture indicator by fully immersing the tapered section at the front in water

Does the continuous display indicate a diaphragm rupture?

Thoroughly dry the diaphragm rupture indicator

Does the continuous display no longer indicate a diaphragm rupture?

Screw the clean and dry diaphragm rupture indicator into the hole until hand-tight and liquid-tight without using tools

Ensure all spare parts are available

Install the new vPTFE diaphragm

Is the pump tight after replacement?

Inspection of Hydraulic Components

Check that all hydraulic lines and components are secure and leak-tight.
