Inspect units at regular intervals

Keep units clean and ventilation openings clear of dust, dirt or other debris

Lubricate units as per operating instruction folder and instruction plate on unit

Ensure no excessive lubrication is applied

Ensure not to over grease the unit

Disconnect all power sources to the unit

Discharge all parts which may retain an electrical charge before maintenance or repair

Grease Lubrication Instructions

Verify applicable conditions for lubrication

Ensure motor is at rest and electrical controls are locked open

Inspect grease drain and remove any blockage with a mechanical probe

Add new grease at the grease inlet

Run the motor for 15 to 30 minutes with the drain plug removed

Shut off unit and replace the drain plug

Verify applicable ball bearing types and RPM range

Ensure motor is at rest and electrical controls are locked open

Inspect grease drain and remove any blockage with a mechanical probe

Add new grease at the grease inlet

Is the new grease compatible with the existing grease?

Run the motor for 15 to 30 minutes with the drain plug removed

Shut off unit and replace the drain plug
