Caution: Stop engine before maintaining.

Clean And Tighten Battery Connections

If engine does not crank, check battery voltage as follows:

Place Engine Control switch in the Off position.

Remove bolts, and pull out battery tray.

Remove terminal covers from battery.

If battery voltage is less than 12.4 volts, charge battery following battery charger's instructions.

To replace battery, proceed as follows: Disconnect battery cables, negative cable first.

Caution: Stop engine before maintaining.

Replace Fuel Filter. (See section 6-2)

Stop engine, and allow to cool.

Fuel Filter: See engine manual for replacement.

Hose Clamp: Remove clamps and filter.

Fuel Line: Inspect and replace line if cracked.

Reinstall hose clamps with new filter. Wipe up any spilled fuel.

Start engine, and check for fuel leaks.

Caution: Stop engine before maintaining.

Check Spark Arrestor (See Section 6-6)

Clean Spark Arrestor (See Section 6-6)

Remove plug and remove any dirt covering cleanout hole.

Start engine and run at idle speed to blow out cleanout hole. if nothing blows out of hole, briefly cover end of exhaust pipe with fireproof material.

Caution: Stop engine before maintaining.

Tape Or Replace Cracked Cables.

Blow Out Or Vacuum Inside.(Every 1000 h);

Caution: Stop engine before maintaining.

Weld terminals cleaned and tightened?
