Ensure all cleaning materials are non-aggressive and safe for use on barrier components.

Clean the barrier housing using a soft cloth and mild detergent.

Wipe down the barrier boom with a damp cloth.

Check for any visible damage to components or electric cables.

Ensure the coating of the barrier is intact.

Inspect for damage and corrosion

Clean the housing, barrier boom, and additional parts

Repair paint damage and remove corrosion

Inspect lenses and mirrors of the light barriers

Check function of the residual current operated device

Inspect housing for damage and corrosion

Clean the housing and repair paint damage

Remove corrosion damage from housing

Inspect foundation anchors, attachment profiles, and mounting material for corrosion

Remove corrosion damage from foundation anchors and mounting material

Inspect barrier boom for damage and corrosion

Clean the barrier boom and repair paint damage

Remove corrosion damage from barrier boom

Switch off power supply and secure against restarting.

Ensure moisture and dust are kept away from live parts.

Remove contamination from the outside of the barrier housing using water with washing-up liquid and a cloth.

Avoid contact of control units and electrical components with moisture.

Remove dust inside the housing with a vacuum cleaner.

Check that all previously opened covers are closed and all safety equipment functions correctly.

Visual inspection of the housing for damage and corrosion

Repair paint damage on the housing

Remove corrosion damage from the housing

Foundation and Mounting Inspection

Visual inspection of foundation anchors, attachment profiles, and mounting material for corrosion
