Pulley Alignment and Belt Tension

Is the pulley alignment correct?

Is the belt tension properly maintained?

Measure the distance between pulley faces

Adjust pulley faces to set speed

Check that all the pulley set screws and bolts are in place

Apply electric motor oil or SAE20 nondetergent oil

Ensure not to over-oil the motor

Motor Mount and Base Inspection

Tighten motor mount bracket as required

Disconnect electrical power to all circuits before servicing unit

Inspect the return air filters from either side of the unit

Is the filter clean and in good condition?

Replace the filter if necessary

CAUTION: Never operate unit without a filter or with filter access door removed. Damage to blower motor may result.

Remove unit access panel, filter access door, and filter.

Clean the drain coil using accepted industry methods.

Remove all foreign matter from pan and condensate drain line.

Is the unit reassembled correctly?
