I/O Board Removal
Preparation
Ensure the following FRUs (or CRUs) have been removed
Cable Disconnection and Screw Removal
Disconnect the battery pack cable from the system board
Disconnect the I/O board cable from the system board
Disconnect the fingerprint board cable from the system board
Remove the four screws securing the cables
I/O Board Removal
Open the left hinge
Memory Removal
Ensure the following FRUs (or CRUs) have been removed
Battery Pack Disconnection and SSD Bracket Removal
Disconnect the battery pack cable from the system board
Remove one screw and the 2242 solid-state drive bracket
Open the latches and remove the memory
Heat Sink Removal
Ensure the following FRUs (or CRUs) have been removed
Disconnect the battery pack cable from the system board
Loosen three screws and remove the heat sink
LCD Module Removal
Ensure the following FRUs (CRUs) have been removed
Pull out two removable tapes and lift the LCD module
Peel off the mylar tape
Disconnect the camera cable from the LCD module
Disconnect the EDP cable from the LCD module
Remove the LCD module
Speakers Removal
Pre-removal steps
Ensure the following FRUs (CRUs) have been removed
Speaker removal process
Disconnect the battery pack cable from the system board
Disconnect the speaker connector from the system board
Carefully remove the speakers
