Safety and Disposal Information

Ensure compliance with local disposal laws for UV lamps containing mercury. Do not dispose of lamps in trash. Dispose as hazardous waste.

Consult www.lamprecycle.org for safe handling, recycling, and disposal information.

Start the cabinet blower and let it operate for 5 minutes.

Raise the sash to its full open position.

Thoroughly surface decontaminate the UV lamp and the work area of the cabinet.

Wipe down cabinet exterior using 70% alcohol solution

Check all service valves for proper operation

Check the UV Lamp Hour meter and note in log

Disinfect interior surfaces with suitable chemical disinfectant

Wipe down interior surfaces after contact time elapsed with 70% alcohol solution

Wipe down the interior surfaces of the cabinet with a suitable disinfectant or 70% ethanol and allow to dry

Periodically lift the work surface and wipe down the area beneath it

Inspect and clean the towel catch located at the rear of the work area, beneath the work surface

Dispose of rubber gloves appropriately

Optional Canopy Alarm Test and Operation

Lift the front edge of the work surface by grasping the knob at either front corner

Is removal of the work surface necessary?

Reinstall the dished work surface by resting the bottom on the center support and pushing it back into the cabinet

Engage the tabs on the back corners of the work surface with the slots on the rear wall of the work area

Pull the work surface straight out, letting the rear edge rest on the center support underneath
