METHOD FOR CHANGING OIL IN TRANSMISSION CASE AND BRAKE SUBTANK, CLEANING STRAINER

Change the oil every 1000 hours or every 10000 km of travel, whichever comes sooner.

• Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot and may cause burn injury.

Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.

• When removing the oil filler cap, the oil may spurt out. Turn it slowly to release the internal pressure, then remove it carefully.

NOTICE: Do not start the engine before filling with oil. If the engine is started when there is no oil in the system, it will cause damage to the transmission and hydraulic pump.

Perform the following items at the same time in order to drain the oil completely.

Warning: Only trained personnel should perform this procedure.

Replace consumable parts such as the filter element or air cleaner element at the time of periodic maintenance or before they reach the wear limit.

Was the filter element replaced?

Was the air cleaner element replaced?

The consumable parts should be replaced correctly in order to ensure more economic use of the machine.

When replacing parts, Komatsu recommends using Komatsu genuine parts.

METHOD FOR CHECKING AND REPLACING STEERING-A ARM MOUNTING BOLT

Ask your Komatsu distributor for checking and replacing the Aarm mounting bolt, lock plate, and holder.

Warning: Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot and may cause burn injury. Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.

Cap of oil filler port (F) turned to release the internal pressure before removing the cap?

Bolts (1) (4 pieces) removed and cover (2) removed?

O-ring (3), spring (4), valve (5), strainer (6), and element (7) removed?

Inside of the case, valve (5), and strainer (6) washed?

New element prepared and installed to the case?

O-ring replaced with a new one, thin film of oil applied to it, and installed?

Cover (2) installed with bolts (1) (4 pieces)?
