Keating of Chicago Electric Griddle 48x36

Scrape MIRACLEAN® surface with the Keating Scraper

Clean with potable tap water and a Keating palmetto brush

Polish surface with Keating Klenzer

Rinse with potable water to remove excess Keating Klenzer

Inspect the surface for any remaining residue

Disconnect electric power source before cleaning

Clean any grease build-up on the switches and thermostat knobs

Check that the front, back, and sides of the cabinet are clean

Ensure you have the necessary tools

Set thermostat to desired temperature (300°F recommended)

Allow thermostat to cycle three times

Locate 'L' on front of griddle plate above thermostat to be calibrated to locate thermostat bulb position

Place thermometer on plate over bulb halfway toward rear of griddle

Is the calibration of griddle less than 15°F off?

Measure the current temperature setting of the thermostat

Is the thermostat calibrated correctly?

Review installation instructions received with the griddle

Review operating instructions received with the griddle

Hand wash spatulas in mild to medium strength detergent

Note any contact with Chlorine or bleach

Rub spatula with vegetable oil to slow discoloration

Carefully wipe blade with a dry cloth

Cover blade with plastic protection cover when not in use
