The Battery Safely Maintenance

Push red cover away from positive (+) battery terminal and remove cable from battery
Unhook rubber strap

Place battery on battery tray so battery terminals are facing toward front of machine

Lubricate grease fitting on each spindle with one or two pumps of general all-purpose grease
Turn wheels to distribute grease on spindles
Lubricate front axle center pivot grease fitting with one or two pumps of general all-purpose grease
Lubricate mower spindles, pivot points, and lift pedal
Mower Blades Maintenance

Mower deck raised to gain access to mower blades
Mower blade blocked with a piece of wood to prevent it from spinning
Mower blade(s) removed
Blades inspected; sharpened, balanced or replaced as necessary
Splined center hole in the blade aligned with the splined spindle shaft
Washer installed, with cupped side towards blade, and nut installed to secure blade onto splined spindle shaft
Mower blade blocked with a piece of wood to prevent spinning and nut tightened to specification
Deflector cup seated properly between mower spindle and blade
