Check Hose clamps on air intake and cooling system hoses

Check wheel bolt torque often during first 100 hours of operation

Sign off on the 100 Hourly Maintenance

Install new filter and bleed the fuel system

During first 50 hours of operation

Alternator belt tension checked?

Hose clamps on air intake and cooling system hoses checked?

Hose clamps tightened if necessary?

Sign off on the 50 Hourly Maintenance

Check tire pressure with an accurate tire gauge

Keep tires at pressures shown below

Check Battery electrolyte level

To check electrolyte level: Lift hood, Remove battery caps, Electrolyte (A) should be 1/4 to 1/2 in. (6 to 12 mm) above plates (B), If necessary, add distilled water, Install caps, Lower hood.

Stop engine. Remove key. Apply moderate thumb pressure to belt halfway between pulleys. Belt should deflect approximately 1/2 in. (13 mm). To tighten belt, loosen adjusting nut. Apply pressure on rear of alternator housing. Tighten nut. Check belt tension again. Replace alternator belt if it is damaged. (See your John Deere dealer for this service.)
