Each Season Maintenance
Remove wheels. Clean, repack, and adjust bearings
Fill gear case with John Deere GL-5 Gear Lubricant. Capacity is 3.8 L (4 U.S. qt)
Remove spring clamp and cover. Brush gears with Moly High Temperature EP grease.
Loosen springs at the end of season. Adjust springs at the beginning of season.
Sign off on the seasonal maintenance

Is the tractor PTO shaft coated with John Deere Moly High Temperature EP grease or John Deere EP Moly Grease?
If grease becomes dirty
Has the old grease been removed and replaced with new?

Is the oil reservoir (A) filled to level mark with John Deere HY-GARD Transmission/Hydraulic Oil?
Clean filter pocket
Has the filter pocket been cleaned every 10 days or more often in extremely dusty conditions?
