50 Hourly Maintenance

Change planetary hub oil

Machine parked on flat level surface

Hub rotated until casting is oriented as shown

Drain plug (A) removed and hub oil drained

Drain plug reinstalled

Fill plug (B) removed

Fill level plug (C) removed

Amount of GL5 85W-140 filled in hub

Hub filled until fill level (D) is reached

Run this procedure

100 Hourly Maintenance

Engine Oil and Filter Change

Operate engine to warm oil

Stop engine

Put a large catch pan below engine drain valve

Loosen valve handle of valve to drain oil

Remove oil filter cover using a 36 mm wrench

Remove filter element

Replace O-ring

Install new oil filter and replace filter cover

Run this procedure

250 Hourly Maintenance

Rotate tires

Check tread adjust shims

1. Activate tread adjust until axle tubes are fully extended.

2. Remove cap screws (A) and coat with anti-seize compound.

3. Install and tighten cap screws (A) to specification. This forces inner axle tube to opposite side of outer axle tube.

4. Repeat tightening until all three cap screws torques are maintained.

5. Loosen cap screws (A) 1/6 of a turn.

6. Tighten jam nuts (B) to specification.

Change engine oil and filter

Tighten wheel hardware

Clean flowmeter

1. Shut off solution pump.

2. Close flowmeter shut-off valve (A).

3. Unscrew flowmeter insert (A) and remove.

4. Clean insert with John Deere Brake and Parts Cleaner (Part No. TY26101) by spraying cleaner through internal rotor and bearing area.

5. Install insert in flowmeter.

6. Open flowmeter shut off valve (A)

Clean radiator, air conditioning cradiator;ondenser/hydraulic oil cooler/fuel cooler

Run this procedure

500 Hourly Maintenance

Replace hydrostatic and hydraulic filters

1. Remove hydrostatic filter canisters (A) and filter elements.

2. Remove hydraulic filter (B).

3. Lubricate new hydrostatic filter element packing and hydraulic filter packing with John Deere Torq-Gard Supreme 10W-30 or equivalent.

4. Install hydrostatic filter elements and filter canisters. After canisters contact mating surface, tighten them by rotating them another 30 degrees.

5. Install and tighten hydraulic filter.

6. Check oil level and add as required (see Check Hydrostatic And Hydraulic Oil-Daily in the Prestarting Checks section).

Replace fuel filter

1. Thoroughly clean exterior of fuel filters and surrounding area.
