Ensure the following before starting the torque check

Was the torque wrench set to approximately 8 ft*lbf (10.8 N*m)?

Uniformly tighten nut in an alternating sequence as shown in figure 1

Continue alternating tightening until the recommended flange bolt torque is achieved?

Record any observations or issues during the torque check

Inspect valve for external damage

Depressurize and drain system before maintenance

Pressurize and test the system as required

Are there any leaks or improper valve operation?

Refer to troubleshooting guide if leaks or improper operation are found

Depressurize and drain system prior to performing any maintenance

3.1 Replacing Valve Disc and/or Liner and Seals

Ensure safety precautions are followed

Read the relevant sections to be familiar with the valve

Reference section 6 for identification of parts

Remove the gland using an extra deep socket

Remove the upper bearing from the stem and inspect O-rings
