Preparation

Disconnect the spark plug wire

Clean the area around the oil drain plug

Oil Drainage

Remove the drain plug

Drain oil into a suitable container

Reinstallation and Refilling

Install the drain plug

Add the correct type and amount of engine oil

200 Hourly / 1 Yearly Air Filter Maintenance

Air Filter Removal

Turn knob and remove air filter cover

Remove the air filter

Air Filter Cleaning

Wash filter in soapy water

Squeeze dry in a clean cloth — DO NOT TWIST

Air Filter Reinstallation

Reinstall the air filter and cover

Preparation

Place the generator on a level surface

Clean the area around the oil fill

Oil Level Check

Remove the oil cap/dipstick and wipe clean

Screw the dipstick fully in, then remove and verify the oil level

Is the oil level within the acceptable range?

Post-Check Actions

Reinstall the oil cap/dipstick securely

100 Hourly / 1 Yearly Spark Arrestor Inspection

Spark Arrestor Inspection

Loosen the exhaust clamp

Inspect the spark arrestor screen for damage
