Turn the gas ballast control to the high flow position (II)

Push the control down against the compression spring as far as it will go

Turn the control anti-clockwise slightly to release the bayonet lugs and remove the control

Control Inspection and Cleaning

Is the air hole (item 3) blocked?

Wipe the control with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth if necessary

Refit the control into the gas ballast inlet ensuring the compression spring locates correctly between the bayonet lugs

Disconnect the vacuum system from the pump inlet port

Are the centring ring and O-ring clean?

Remove the O-ring from the centring ring and strainer assembly

Ensure the O-ring does not contact the cleaning solution

Wash the centring ring and strainer assembly in a suitable cleaning solution

Allow the centring ring and strainer assembly to dry

CAUTION: Do not flash test the pump or damage to the inverter may result.

Test the earth continuity of the pump motor

Test the insulation resistance of the pump motor

Did the pump motor pass the earth continuity and insulation resistance tests?

Contact us if the pump fails these tests

Disconnect the pump from the electrical supply

Use a dry cloth to remove dirt from the fan cover

Use a soft brush to remove deposits from the fan cover

Is the fan cover clean and free of dirt and deposits?
