Edwards Dry Screw Vacuum Pump GXS450

Ensure all supplies are locked out and tagged out before starting the procedure.

Remove the enclosure side panels.

Remove the enclosure top panels.

Inspect the following components for secure connections

Inspect for corrosion, damage, or leaks

Wear suitable protective gloves and eye protection

Check personal protective equipment as specified by the supplier

Relocate the dry pumping system for maintenance as per instructions on page 69

Connect a regulated clean dry air supply (5 barg or 73 psig) to the cooling water supply connection

Connect a drain hose to the cooling water return connection

Position the open end of the drain hose in a suitable collection container

Wear suitable protective gloves and eye protection

Check and use personal protective equipment as specified by its supplier

Switch off the dry pumping system and allow it to stand for at least 5 minutes

Oil Level Check for GXS 450, 450/2600, 450/4200, 750, 750/2600, and 750/4200

Check that the oil level is in line with the MAX indicator through the side panel slots

Is the oil level below the maximum?
