Inverter Analyzer Check
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Power turned off?
Install an inverter analyzer instead of a compressor
Charged voltage of the built-in smoothing electrolytic capacitor dropped to 10 VDC or below?
Terminals removed from the compressor?
Terminals connected to the terminals of the inverter analyzer without touching each other?
Activate the power transistor test operation from the outdoor unit
Power turned on?
Center of TEMP button and OFF button on the remote controller pressed at the same time?
Power Supply Waveform Check
Warning: This check requires trained personnel with PPE!
Measure the power supply waveform between No. 1 and No. 2 on the terminal strip
Upload a photo of the measured waveform
Is the power supply waveform a sine wave?
Is there waveform disturbance near the zero-cross?
Sign off on the power supply waveform check
Indoor Fan Motor Connector Check
FTX09/12/15NMVJU(A)
Fan motor wire breakdown/short circuit check
(1) Check the connector for connection.
(2) Turn the power off.
(3) Check if each resistance at the phases U - V and V - W is within specified range in the table below.
Motor control voltage check
(1) Check the connector for connection.
(2) Check the motor control voltage is generated (between the pins 2 - 3).
Rotation pulse check
Thermistor Resistance Check
Warning: Disconnect the thermistor ASSY from the PCB before measuring
Enter the resistance value of the thermistor
Does the measured resistance match the listed value?
If the resistance does not match, replace the thermistor
To check the thermistor soldered on a PCB, disconnect the PCB from other parts
Enter the resistance value of the soldered thermistor
Does the measured resistance of the soldered thermistor match the listed value?
If the resistance does not match, replace the soldered thermistor
Sign off on the thermistor resistance check
Main Circuit Short Check
Warning: Ensure the voltage between (+) and (-) of the diode bridge (DB1) is about 0 V before proceeding
Enter the voltage between (+) and (-) of the diode bridge (DB1)
Is the voltage approximately 0 V?
If voltage is not approximately 0 V, stop the procedure and report the issue
Enter the resistance between the pins of the DB1
Is the resistance either infinity or less than 1 k(omega)?
If resistance is either infinity or less than 1 k(omega), a short circuit occurs on the main circuit
Sign off on the main circuit short check
