1 Daily Clutch And Brake Adjustment
IMPORTANT: You must have 1/4" (6 mm) clearance between the spring arm on the clutch/brake pedal and the tractor tower at all times. Check this clearance daily. (More frequently when a new belt is first installed.) If the spring arm makes contact with the tractor tower, the belt can slip and be damaged.
1. Disengage the clutch/brake pedal so the clutch belt has tension.
2. Check the clearance between the spring arm (on the clutch/brake pedal) and the tractor tower. The clearance must be 1/4" (6 mm).
3. To adjust the clutch rod follow this procedure:
a. Loosen the two lock nuts on the clutch rod.
b. Turn the lock nuts as required to get the 1/4" (6 mm) clearence
c. Tighten the lock nuts and check the clearance again
4. To adjust the brake follow this procedure:
a. Push the clutch/brake pedal and engage the parking brake lock in the middle notch.
