Keep the motor clean and vent openings clear.

Before greasing, be sure fittings are clean and free from dirt.

Remove grease relief plug or plate and, using a low-pressure grease gun, pump in the required grease.

All wiring connections checked and tightened as necessary

Internal wiring checked and replaced as necessary with type THHN 221°F (105°C), 600V, 16-gauge wire or equivalent

Heater control panel checked for dust/dirt and moisture and cleaned as necessary

Heating elements checked for dust/dirt buildup and/or broken elements. Elements replaced and/or cleaned with low pressure air as necessary

Element male/female chassis insulators checked for breaks and/or cracks. Replaced as necessary

Element support frame insulators checked. Missing or broken insulators replaced as necessary

Sign off on the electric heater wiring and wiring connections

Check if small ECWs require maintenance

Check if larger ECWs are greased annually

Check if drive motors require maintenance

Check if belts require adjustment or replacement

Check if seals require adjustment or replacement

Check for gas leaks in the GAS LINE

Check for gas leaks in the MANUAL SAFETY SHUT OFF VALVE

Check for cracked ceramics, excessive carbon residue, or erosion of the electrode in the DIRECT SPARK IGNITER

Check that gas valve seat in the GAS VALVE is not leaking

Soft brush or vacuum inside burner, at burner ports, and at air inlet between burner and manifold pipe to eliminate accumulation of lint and/or dirt in the BURNERS

Inspect for cracks, sagging, bending, or distortion in the HEAT EXCHANGER. Clean with vacuum and/or stiff brush.

Clean the DRAFT INDUCER with compressed air or vacuum

Check the VENT PIPE/TERMINAL. Venting must be intact. Using a flashlight, look for obstructions, cracks on the pipe, gaps in the sealed areas, or corrosion. Clean vent terminal.

Check for blockages in the CONDENSATION DRAIN

Inspect blower wheel and clean as necessary

Check for excessive vibration in blower wheel

Fix scratches on cabinet exterior

Inspect the caulk annually and re-apply as needed

Verify that no flammable objects, liquids, or vapors are present near the unit

Ensure free movement of condensing fans

Check that all fan mounting hardware is tight

Check for blockages in condensate drain pan and drain
