Seal pre-lubricated with Magnalube high-temperature grease?

All flush lines or barrier fluid tubes disconnected?

Set screws on the seal collar loosened?

Number of fasteners removed from the seal gland

Cartridge seal slid out of the stuffing box?

Rotor shaft and seal housing bore cleaned?

Is the V Series pump clean and ready for inspection?

Is there any frictional wear on internal components of the pump?

Enter the end play adjustment value

Is the pump going to be stored for more than six (6) months?

If the pump is to be stored, follow the steps below:

Apply a light coat of light oil to all internal pump parts

Lubricate the fittings and apply grease to the pump shaft

Rotate the pump shaft by hand one (1) complete revolution every 30 days to circulate the oil

Upload a photo of the pump before starting the overhaul

Remove the screws that hold the head to the casing

Remove the head from the pump using either jacking screws or prying bar

WARNING: Protect the idler gear from falling as it may become loose during removal of the head

Remove the idler gear and bushing assembly

Loosen the six (6) mounting fasteners that hold the RBS to the casing or adapter plate

Carefully remove the rotor/shaft assembly

For 55, 133 and 254 size pumps, remove the screws that hold the adapter plate to the casing and remove the adapter plate

Initial packing adjustments made to control leakage

Additional adjustments made after initial startup

Packing checked periodically and adjusted as needed

Packing gland fasteners removed

Packing gland slid along the shaft out of the stuffing box

Packing retaining washer removed
