Ensure equipment is not running before inspection

Safety Decal is present and legible

Replace Safety Decal if missing or illegible

Vent and Surrounding Area Check

Tighten and replace bolts if missing

Remove all jewelry and loose clothing

Ensure safety permits working around rotating machinery

Is the motor with grease fittings?

Lubricate the grease fittings with NLGI No. 2 or No. 3 multi-purpose ball bearing grease

Disconnect electrical power to the fan and control box.

Disconnect compressed air service from the compressed air header.

Bleed all air from the air header.

Perform an OSHA approved lock-out/tag-out procedure on all energy sources.

Open the access doors at the front of the unit.

Ensure the right clamp bar handle and slot are in front, with the left clamp bar handle and slot behind.

Rotate the left clamp bar up slightly and push it away until the locking tab clears the slot on the right clamp bar.
